I also wanted to discuss this word...authentic. It has been on my mind since I received the ugly comment (HERE). Then, one of my favorite bloggers, une femme, wrote an excellent post yesterday about authenticity! Read it HERE.
My first two years as a blogger, I participated in many blogger events where I wore looks that were not ME. They were styled for the blog.
In the last year, I have really attempted to stick with styles pictured I actually walk out of the house wearing. It has been refreshing to be more authentic...the blog has actually helped me define who the authentic Pam is. But, does that make me less fashionable? I don't think so and I know there are some who would disagree. Fashionable is often interpreted as "out of our comfort zone" experimentation.
I like my wardrobe to be stylish and wearable all at the same time. I developed a plan to help me do that....and it has really paid off for me! The FOUNDATIONAL FIVE is what I seriously use when in the dressing room; and after a year, my closet finally reflects the authentic Pam...more so than it ever has. I am leaving more behind when shopping, and saving time and money.
