UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has recovered from the novel coronavirus and has been discharged from the hospital.
In a video, Johnson paid tribute to medical workers with the National Health Service for helping him in his road to recovery.
"I have today left hospital after a week in which the NHS has saved my life, no question," Johnson said in a video on his Twitter account.
The 55-year-old also expressed gratitude for UK citizens for undergoing the "hardship of self-isolation" amid the coronavirus pandemic.
"I want to thank everyone in the entire UK for the effort and the sacrifice you have made and are making," Johnson said.
"When the sun is out and the kids are home; when the whole natural world seems at its loveliest and the outdoors is so inviting, I can only imagine how tough it has been to follow the rules on social distancing."

Although Johnson, 55, is leaving the hospital he will not immediately go back to work, the BBC reported.
"On the advice of his medical team, the PM will not be immediately returning to work. He wishes to thank everybody at St Thomas' for the brilliant care he has received. All of his thoughts are with those affected by this illness," a statement from Downing Street read.
Downing Street noted that Johnson will finish his recovery at his country residence, Chequers, which is located in the county of Buckinghamshire.
Mr. Johnson, 55, was taken to St Thomas' hospital, in London, on Sunday April - ten days after testing positive for the Coronavirus as his symptoms, including cough and high temperature, persisted. He stayed three nights in intensive care before returning to a ward on Thursday.
