More banned adverts. We normally bring you the latest in banned sexy adverts since they piss us off. But this, is just stupid. This advert for some kinda mascara was banned in the UK as yer wan Jagga is wearing falsies. Or lash inserts as the small print claims. Rimmel released a statement to say that false lashes show up better on camera, blah blah blah. But I have to say in a world where you can't advertise mascara without the model wearing fake lashes and volume shampoos where the model wears extensions, how can we be so sure the product works?
According to the British advertising standards Lads (authority) reckon thats the problem,"Because we considered that the use of different length lash inserts applied to the eyelash area was likely to distort the visual representation of the effect achievable from the use of the product alone, we concluded the images in the ad were misleading.”
so there you have it. Another banned advert!
